Holding you, family and friends close to my heart. I will always remember Jessie’s (the name I hold dear since becoming a great friend of my daughter in second grade 🥹) life changing smile! It made all feel safe and comfortable 😊! Her kindness, strength, and grace will live on through all who knew her. Chris, may comfort surround you and may you feel her presence giving you strength, comfort and her love 🤍
Chris, I hope in the quiet moments ahead, you feel her love wrapped around you. May peace find you gently, and may the memories you shared bring light even on the hard days. I’m holding you in my heart and wishing you steady strength and comfort.
June 26, in that beautiful vortex of new moon energy and 20 days after another GwG cohort doula, Kenya Thompson, also died. May Jess and Kenya be flying free 🕊️
Hi Chris. I met Jess at a death doula training weekend last year. I’m lucky for having met her and having had a glimpse into her journey. Her bravery and ability to maintain joy under some very difficult circumstances is inspiring. I’d like to welcome you to a messed up brotherhood of widowers and to offer support should you be open to it. I don’t know you but I feel a closeness that only a few know. I wish you strength and self love.
I am never going to forget her Chris. She was a beautiful force. Sending you love and support and will absolutely be there to celebrate her when you are ready.
As Jess said, Jess lived a vibrant full life for as long as she could. She was a source of strength and resilience for many. Sending you hopes of pleasant memories and strength to be able to celebrate her beautiful life and the beautiful life you had together.
Sending lots of love and continued prayers for you and your family, Chris, as you navigate this difficult and tender time of honoring Jess’s life.v
